Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith attended The American Red Cross Red Tie Affair Fundraiser Gala at Fairmont Miramar Hotel yesterday (April 17) in Santa Monica, California.

Those in attendance were Fergie, Buzz Aldrin, Leeza Gibbons, Susan Blakely, Vanessa Lengies, Cole Hauser, Aisha Hinds and others.

Note: Sad to say, I nearly mistook retired astronaut Buzz Aldrin (Apollo 11) for former game show host (Price is Right) Bob Barker. Wink-Wink, you betcha! ; )

Jaden Smith Named ShoWest’s ‘Breakthrough Male Star of the Year’

Jaden Smith (the new ‘Karate Kid’) is already receiving accolades for his work on the feature from the ShoWest film festival.

The young star, who is the son of rapper/actor Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, has been named ShoWest’s Breakthrough Male Star of the Year.

The award was presented Wednesday (March 17) at the event, which was held in Las Vegas’ Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas hotels.

Will & Jada Sue – Don’t Blame Us for Bad Movie

Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith claim they’re not to blame for a movie that made absolutely no money — even though Jada wrote the script.

It’s all over a movie you’ll probably never see called “Human Contract” — which Jada wrote in 2007.

In legal papers filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, the couple claims the guy who financed the movie is threatening to sue them because he believes Will and Jada “guaranteed” a return on an investment to get him on board. Will and Jada claim they “made no such representations.”

Long story short — the movie went straight-to-DVD and Will and Jada admit, “it is unlikely that it will ever make a profit.”

Will and Jada aren’t going after the investor for money — but they want a judge to declare that they are not liable for the investor’s lost cash.

Will Smith is seriously contemplating a move into politics — his wife Jada Pinkett Smith has confirmed.

But now actress Jada reveals her partner is reconsidering a move from Hollywood to Washington, D.C.

She tells Germany’s Bunte magazine, “Will is thinking about going into politics. He once said he could imagine becoming a U.S. president. He wasn’t joking, he was quite serious about it.”

Okay, this one is just gonna have to grow on me. Gonna wait this one out. Not um, quite convinced…

‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Prankster Strikes Again on Christian Television

Somebody’s goin’ around pretending to be Will Smith The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

You ever seen “testimonies” read on Christian television? Well, it’s supposed to be a time when letters are read by the televangelist from the various people around the world whose lives were changed (for the better) as a result of the network, healing, salvation, etc.

But it seems ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ “Prank Letter Bandit” has struck again.

And why do I get the feeling that the African minister wants to bust out laughing? Perhaps it’s because he knows he’s GOT GOT before?

Denzel Washington and Will Smith: ‘Uptown Saturday Night’ Remake!

OMG, I have been waiting for “Uptown Saturday Night” to be remade for the lonnnnngets time! I’m so excited.

I hope they do all three! “Let’s Do It It Again” AND “A Piece of the Action” needs to be remade to complete the trilogy, lol.

Denzel Washington and Will Smith are in talks to co-star in a remake of Uptown Saturday Night. The 1974 comedy was directed by Sidney Poitier and starred Poitier and Bill Cosby as two friends who meet up at a nightclub and get robbed of their wallets only to discover the next morning that one of their wallets contained a winning lottery ticket. Mark and Robb Cullen (Cop Out) are currently rewriting the script with David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers) attached to direct.

I love this chase scene from “Let’s Do It Again” LOL. I miss movies like this. (6:06 mark) is the best! And check out my homey Julius Harris (7:55 mark) bless his heart, rest his soul–I worked with him! Hilarious.

P.S. Memba the lady in the beginning of the video (the phone operator)? From “Coming to America.” She was the one that said “I’ll marry ya…” And then Eddie threw her them earrings, lol.

What a great opportunity to work with the great Will Smith, lol, on the real. The episode was “Will Gets Committed,” and they show it all the time. I just have a jacked-up VHS version of the episode that I uploaded on Youtube for some kids a while back.

These photos are a real treat mad cool since I like historic photos of all kinds anyway.

Trivia: Turned down a role on Melrose Place to do this episode. C’mon, who wouldn’t want to work with Will Smith?

Will and Jada Host Nobel Peace Prize Concert

Joined by their adorable kids Jaden and Willow, celeb couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith hosted the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo, Norway. (December 11).

Held at the Oslo Spektrum, the Nobel Peace Prize Concert honored this year’s Nobel Peace Prize winner US President Barack Obama.

Artists from all over the world — including Natasha Bedingfield, Toby Keith and Wyclef Jean — gathered to help spread the message of peace and celebrate this year’s unexpected Nobel Peace laureate.

Earlier, Will and Jada said that their primary goal was to issue a warm welcome to the world. “I’m going to have to restrain some of my standard dumbness,” Will joked.

“We want to make it seem as though we are hosting very prestigious guests in our living room. We want to be able to just bring some warmth and a little laughter and fun into the program,” Jada added. “And, at the end of the show, we’re all coming out and we’re going to sing.”

The Nobel Peace Prize Concert will be televised early next year.

Whoomp! (There It Is) Philadelphia 76ers Player Intros. Iverson Returns to Philly!

Do people even still say “Whoomp! There It Is” anymore? No? Okay, so, we need to bring that back.

Anyway, since when did I become an Allen Iverson fan? LOL. Iverson is back! Lost his first game back to the Nuggets but it’ll be interesting to see if A.I. can get them some wins.

For some reason, Will Smith’s “Summertime” is playing in my head as I post this, lol. ”Back in Philly…”
