Huh? Common and Serena Broke Up?

Hmm, don’t know ’bout this one but it’s not lookin’ too good. Seems like just like a few weeks ago I posted a video and thought I heard rapper-turned actor Common sayin’ somethin’ about marrying tennis star Serena Williams…

Anyway, In Touch Weekly is already reporting that the two have split up. Hmm. Gotta admit, some “red flags” though:

Common didn’t show up with Serena to his ‘Just Wright’ premiere.
He was also seen partying with a few ladies on Tom Joyner’s cruise last week.

According to In Touch Weekly:

After over two years of dating, tennis star Serena Williams, 28, and rapper Common, 38, have split. “They just grew apart,” said a friend of the musician’s. The duo made a last public appearance in April at the New York premiere of Date Night, but Common was acting single on the Tom Joyner Foundation Fantastic Voyage cruise while promoting the film Just Wright in mid-May. “He was a big hit with the ladies,” says a witness.

Do y’all still read Jet Magazine? Well have you ever even read the magazine? Jet has been around for as long as I can remember and I’m really starting to like their new look.

The new “Jet” font is sleeker and I noticed they’re using a lot more reds and blacks.

And get this, when you touch the new magazine, it feels even more silkier to the touch. They sanded it down with linseed oil and….gotcha! Just messin’ witcha, lol. Just wanted to make sho’ you was were still readin’, lol.

Jet caught up with the woman that has a 125-mph serve to find out about a side of her she rarely reveals. “I’m really sensitive. I always want everyone to be happy. I’m a pleaser. I never want to make people sad or let them down, sometimes it’s even to my demise. I have learned to take care of me more, and I’m definitely learning to do better at that.”

Serena Williams Wins 5th Australian Open Title

MELBOURNE, Australia – Serena Williams put an end to Justine Henin’s hopes of a Grand Slam title on her return from retirement with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 win in the Australian Open final on Saturday.

Defending champion Williams withstood a determined challenge from Henin before securing her fifth Australian Open title and 12th Grand Slam singles championship overall.

Williams’ five Australian titles is the most by any woman in the Open Era, since 1968, surpassing the four each held by Margaret Court, Evonne Goolagong Cawley, Steffi Graf and Monica Seles.

Venus and Serena Williams Win Australian Doubles Title

The Williams sisters proved yet again that, as a pair, they can dominate the court.

Venus and Serena won their fourth Australian Open Women’s Doubles title, beating Cara Black and Liezel Huber with a 6-4, 6-3 victory.

These sisters just continue to dominate.

American tennis player Serena Williams, and considered the richest sportswoman in history, posed for a book signing at Harrods in London. Serena is promoting her latest book, Serena Williams: My Life a Queen of the Court.

Interestingly enough, seems she also has another book that was also recently released entitled, “On the Line.”

One of the biggest stars in tennis, Serena Williams has captured every major title. Her 2009 Australia Open championship earned her the #1 world ranking for the third time in her illustrious career – and marked only the latest exclamation point on a life well and purposefully lived.

As a young girl, Serena began training with an adult-sized racquet that was almost as big as her.
