Gotta give props to Rick Ross, Diddy and the whole Dirty Money (Dawn and Kalenna) crew for a top notch ‘Hello Good Morning‘ live performance on George Lopez‘s Lopez Tonight.

The music was hyped, the dancers were hittin’ it and the crowd was loving it. Very well orchestrated and much props to Lopez Tonight‘s director–camera shots were on point as well.

Diddy’s New Blog: The ‘Love Movement’ Has Begun

I like what Diddy is tryna do here with this new “love movement” on his new DiddyBlog that went live this morning.

“I love you,” says Diddy in the introduction video. “I’m gonna love you even if you don’t love me. That’s where I’m at in my life. Down with hate, in with the love. Hate is for suckers. Today is the beginning of a new day. Today, we start the love movement … The love movement has begun. Gillions of people are gonna throw this up all over the world,” he concluded, making a heart symbol with his hands.

‘Hate is for suckers’–ain’t that the truth, lol. Hopefully this new movement will spread like wildfire ’cause everyone could sure use more love! Peep the video.

Who knew Oprah got down like this? After attending one of fashion’s biggest events of the year, the Met Gala, Anna Wintour invited N.E.R.D to perform at the after party the other night–and Oprah got her party groove on too!

They performed three songs but Pharrell kept it going and performed on some more tracks. Diddy came in as a temporary N.E.R.D member, lol.

Mase is Back? Rapper-Turned Preacher to Release 5 New Mixtapes

The last time I spoke with the camp for rapper-turned born-again Christian and preacher Mase, I was invited to meet up with the man and hear him preach at his church in Atlanta.

I was excited to see Mase turn his life around but I wasn’t really too surprised when he decided to get back in the rap game. I always looked at it as a positive thing.

I saw Mase a few times on TBN, a major Christian television network preaching and teaching the bible and thought, “Wow, this guy really knows the Bible.”

I could identify with him because I, like Mase, am in the entertainment industry and at one point left it to pastor a church. It was four interesting and exciting years for me. Burned myself out though, but I enjoyed it, nevertheless.

Mase hit the rap scene in the late 1990′s and has seemingly had a love/hate relationship with the industry since retiring from the game in 1999 to become a preacher. He came out of retirement in 2005, releasing “Welcome Back.” In 2006 he hooked up with 50 Cent and G-Unit and spit lyrics on a verse of a song called 300 Shots. The song recently peaked my interest, I was curious, and I read and heard the lyrics to the song. Won’t comment on it, but you can click here and read a very thorough article on the subject and glance at the lyrics for yourself.

Not quite sure what’s goin’ on but I know Diddy recently released Mase contractually with Bad Boy. Gonna check out his mixtapes, I just hope it’s all positive because the irony of it all is that it looks like his ministry is still going strong. Check out: MasonBetha.org

Acid Wash is Back: Diddy Introduces New Sean John Line

Just when we thought acid wash jeans were history; Diddy brings’em back in a new Sean John line. Not only does Diddy introduce us to some nice lookin’ threads, but the new Sean John logo is also revealed.

I must admit, I did like the first logo better but change is good and “the people have spoken.” And who are these people? Sean John fans, Diddy fans, um, the Twitterverse. That’s right, most folks don’t realize that Twitter is a great way for companies to improve its business and its overall sales. Large corporations are now in on the “twitter game” and are looking hard at customer tweets to find out what consumers really want.

Smart move on Diddy’s part. Power to the people.

Rapper Lil’ Kim in Trouble with Record Label

One of the members of NowPublic.com requested my photograph of rapper Lil’ Kim at Justin’s (Diddy’s) restaurant in New York City (2004). Looks like she’s being sued by her record label. Not good.

Rapper Lil’ Kim won’t be recording a new album until she can clear up a lawsuit filed by her record label. In a lawsuit filed earlier this week, record label Brookland Media claims the Grammy-winner hasn’t delivered the tracks she promised after the company spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on recordings and equipment. The label also claims it spent $12,000 per month to rent a house near Lil’ Kim’s New Jersey home.

Today was cool. Had another advertiser contact me regarding my blog and website. Google’s Adsense seems to be doing well on the blog as well.

A Raisin in the Sun

I don’t really watch too much televison but got to see ABC’s television version of A Raisin in the Sun. Loved the perfomances of Phylicia Rashad, Sanaa Lathan and Audra McDonald. Wasn’t too impressed with Diddy but he did get by.

I’m looking forward to being more productive this week.
