LeBron Fan Wearing Heat Jersey Ejected from Yankees/Indians Game

A Cleveland fan (IN CLEVELAND), wearing a LeBron James MIAMI HEAT (number 6) jersey at the New York Yankees/Cleveland Indians game last night caused quite a stir. A mob of hecklers ensued, BIG no-no!

Of course, the “fan” had to be ejected escorted out, lol. Video below.

Youtube excerpt: This LeBron James fan was egging on people at the Yankees/Indians July 28th, 2010, baseball game at Progressive Field. He kept on walking around the Home Run Porch purposely arousing fans of both the Yankees and Indians alike.

A roar of boo’s came from the bleacher seats where he was seated and ejected from in the later half of the 8-0 clobbering of the Cleveland Indians by the New York Yankees. The fan enticed the bleacher section which led to this footage of his ejection from the stadium. At one point, not seen in my video his assumed girlfriend punched or was punched, possibly leading to their ejection. The decades long feud between Yankees and Indians fans were absolved for the time being as both joined together in the dislike of LeBron James’ douchey fan.

I usually don’t throw my opinion in my blog posts as I like to consider myself “an observer” of things. Experience has taught me to just watch things unfold and not judge any situation or anyone.

With that being said, what do you think about what Tim LaHaye (the best-selling author from the Left Behind series) said about president Barack Obama? Is this U.S. president “bringing the country closer to the apocalypse” or is this just right-wing foolery and nonsense to you? Video below.

Evangelical Christian minister Tim LaHaye says that the policy initiatives put forth by the Obama administration are bringing the country “closer to the apocalypse.”

LaHaye issued the dire warning in an appearance this week on Mike Huckabee’s talk show on Fox News.

“Our present president doesn’t seem to get it,” LaHaye explained. “He doesn’t understand that some of the things he’s introducing that many of us call ‘raw socialism’ — it’s a different name, but it’s essentially government control and government domination of everything.”

The evangelical voice said of the political platform maintained by the Obama administration, “It’s going to work against our country and bringing us closer to the apocalypse.”

Saggy Pants Foolish but Legal, New York Judge Rules

Wearing saggy pants is not a crime, just foolish. That’s how a New York City judge ruled in throwing out a summons issued to a man wearing low-slung pants that exposed his underwear.

Judge Ruben Franco said that the summons appeared to be an attempt by one police officer to show his displeasure with the style.

The Bronx man, Julio Martinez, was issued the ticket on April 20.

The judge writes that many may find the low-slung trouser trend distasteful and foolish. But he says people can dress how they want as long as they do not offend public order and decency.

Franco’s decision was issued last month. Martinez and his Legal Aid attorney could not be reached for comment.

NBA’s Lorenzen Wright Found Dead

The worst possible outcome when former NBA basketball player Lorenzen Wright went missing recently has apparently come true.

Sources confirmed with the Memphis Commercial Appeal that a body found southeast of Memphis is that of Wright.

According to sources, a 9-1-1 call was made from Wright’s cell phone on July 19. A Germantown fire dispatcher could hear the loud blasts of several gunshots. The cellphone call ended at that point…

Wright was thought to be carrying some amount of cash when he was last seen leaving his ex-wife’s Collierville home, fueling concerns he may be the victim of foul play, according to a Collierville police report released today.

He recently flew from Atlanta to Memphis to visit friends and his six children, friends said. He was scheduled to drive back to the Atlanta area July 19, with his six children and a friend. He was last seen at about 2 a.m. July 19, leaving his ex-wife’s Whisperwood Drive home. His former wife, Sherra Robinson Wright, 39, told police she doesn’t know who he left with or what type of car they were in, according to the missing person’s report.

The latest reports have him being shot multiple times, up to 13. Obviously, the police have their work cut out for them.

Happy campers Cathy and Donald got the scare of their lives when a peaceful buffalo turned “ugly.” Everything was peachy a first, a few good seconds of a buffalo in the wild on video–a nice treasure for the family.

But no, Donald wanted more…and like the stormtrooper he was…Donald AND Cathy got more.

And thank God they lived to tell about it!

Terrell Owens Signs with the Cincinnati Bengals

Third Mile Zone and ProfootballTalk are reporting that receiver Terrell Owens has agreed to terms with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Per a league source, Owens will receive a base salary of $2 million. He can earn up to another $2 million in incentives.

The historic Waikiki Hotel is hosting an exhibition of rarely seen photographs taken of pioneering aviator Amelia Earhart when she visited Hawaii and stayed at the “Pink Palace of the Pacific” during the 1930s.

The black-and-white images show a Earhart relaxing in a swimsuit and leaning against a palm tree while she gazes at the ocean. A few show her observing legendary surfer and Hawaii icon Duke Kahanamoku carve a pineapple for her.

The photos show a side of Earhart many people might not be familiar with, especially those who have only seen her wearing a bomber jacket and aviator pants.

President Obama Visits “The View”

President Barack Obama will be joining the hosts of “The View” this Thursday (7.29.10), in an appearance that ABC said would be “the first time in history a sitting United States president has visited a daytime talk show.”

In a news release on Monday, ABC said that the presidential episode would be broadcast on Thursday but will be taped on Wednesday. Mr. Obama’s chat with the unpredictable co-hosts, including the staunch liberal Joy Behar and the equally staunch conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck, is emblematic of his administration’s outreach to unconventional media outlets.

“Given the difficulty of reaching people in this hyperactive media environment, we look for opportunities to reach people in environments that are not traditional forums for political newsmakers,” Dan Pfeiffer, the White House communications director, said in an e-mail message. “That’s why we have been willing to have the president on Leno, Letterman and ESPN.”

Mr. Pfeiffer said an appearance on “The View” had been contemplated for several weeks because the president was scheduled to be in New York City for a fund-raiser.

Television evangelists Benny Hinn and Paula White are denying reports that allege the two are having an affair.

On July 23, The National Enquirer published photos of Hinn and White leaving a Rome hotel together, holding hands.

While both Hinn, 57, and White, 44, have admitted to being friends for over two decades, both issued statements denying that there is anything inappropriate about their relationship.

“There is nothing inappropriate or morally improper about my friendship with Paula White,” Hinn wrote in a message on his Web site. Click here for Hinn’s full response. (note: can’t seem to find it)

The two high-profile evangelists have both dealt with recent marital troubles under the watchful eyes of the media and public.

In February, Hinn’s wife filed for divorce after 30 years of marriage. White split from her husband Randy in 2007.

In a statement issued on her Web site, White said she and Hinn have become closer since both have endured painful public divorces, but “our friendship has … Remained morally and spiritually pure.”

Paula castigated the Enquirer for its recent article, calling it “dishonest and misleading.” Read White’s full response here.

Addressing the Italy photos, White wrote “I publicly profess and forcefully renounce assertions that the recent trip to Italy to meet with Vatican officials suggests that the friendship is in any way improper or morally impure.”

Still, Hinn and White said in the future they would seek to avoid any appearance of impropriety.

“Because of my preeminent priority to my ministry and calling, Paula and I have concluded that we should avoid the appearance that our friendship is biblically impure or violates Scripture in any way,” Hinn wrote.

He added that the two had “independently determined that we will have no further social relationship until such time as my divorce has concluded and only if we feel direction from the Lord to do so.”

Spain has got to be feeling good right about now. First winning the World Cup earlier this month, and now a Spaniard, Alberto Contador, has won his third Tour de France in four years.

Seven-time champion Lance Armstrong finished the tour for the last time, heralding the arrival of a new cycling superstar.

The 27-year-old Spaniard sealed the victory after holding off a challenge from main rival Andy Schleck of Luxembourg in Saturday’s individual time trial. Their battle for the title provided a glimpse of what should become the tour’s next great rivalry. They dueled wheel-to-wheel until separated in Stage 15, when Schleck’s chain broke on a climb in the Pyrenees, then again on a lung-busting ride up the Col du Tourmalet that was the highlight of the race.
