This week, she shares her favorite family ice cream recipe, Showstoppin’ Layered Summer Sundae. Karen Clark Sheard’s Showstoppin’ Layered Summer Sundae

**Enjoy her celebrity sundae while listening to her new CD, All in One (Karew Records), which can be found at Walmart or walmart.com.**

Ingredients:

1 Scoop Breyers® All Natural Vanilla Ice Cream

1 Scoop Breyers® All Natural Strawberry Ice Cream

2 Tbsp. Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup

1/2 banana, sliced

Reddi-wip^® Original

Directions:

Layer ingredients starting with Breyers® All Natural Vanilla Ice Cream, followed by half of the banana slices. Repeat with Breyers® All Natural Strawberry Ice Cream and the remaining bananas slices. Drizzle chocolate syrup and finish with whipped cream to taste.

Variation:

For a fun and lower calorie alternative, use strawberry sorbet instead of ice cream.

She recently had a baby AND managed to keep the weight off.

So what’s been the big secret behind Oscar-winning actress and recording artist Jennifer Hudson‘s trim(mer) body?

Weight Watchers!

That’s right, in fact, the new mom revealed she’s the new spokesperson for the company today.

“With Weight Watchers, I am enjoying the weight loss because I’m doing it the right way—I feel empowered with what I’ve learned, everything from portion control to what foods will help keep me satisfied,” says the 28-year-old. “It’s a lifestyle change, not a diet.”

Empowered? Did she say “empowered,” ladies? Gents? Wow, that’s a powerful statement. Somethin’ must be workin’.

Anyway, the Oscar-winning actress-singer—who has a 7-month-old son, David Daniel Otunga Jr., with her fiancé David Otunga, 28—also likes how the diet fits into her busy lifestyle.

“I can follow the plan no matter where I am, still enjoy my favorite foods and even use the iPhone app to track my points,” she says.

Hudson is no stranger to publicly discussing her weight: After being called “the big girl” as a contestant on American Idol, the singer transformed her body for her Oscar-winning turn as Effie in Dreamgirls by packing on more than 20 lbs. with a diet of “cakes and cookies and lots of fried food,” she told PEOPLE. She later lost the weight for the premiere of the film.

Celebrities who have represented Weight Watchers in the past include Jenny McCarthy, Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, and Lynn Redgrave.

Okay, I know EXACTLY what category this article needs to be in. This is so “crazy but true!”

A New Jersey 42 year-old woman named Donna Simpson–Donna, don’ do it–who already weighs a whopping 600 pounds is on a mission to double her girth in a bid to become the world’s fattest woman.

Why Donna, why?

Simpson, currently the 43rd-heaviest living woman on record, saya she has her sights on reaching the 1,000-pound mark over the next two years.

To achieve that goal, she eats “mounds of junk food” and moves around as little as possible (huh?), relying on a motorized scooter to get from place to place. “My favorite food is sushi, but unlike others I can sit and eat 70 big pieces of sushi in one go,” she told the Daily Mail.

“I do love cakes and sweet things, doughnuts are my favorite.”

Taco Bell Founder Dead at 86

Glen W. Bell Jr., an entrepreneur best known as the founder of the Taco Bell chain, has died. He was 86.

Bell died Sunday at his home in Rancho Santa Fe, according to a statement posted Monday on the Taco Bell Web site.

The Irvine-based company did not release a cause of death.

“Glen Bell was a visionary and innovator in the restaurant industry, as well as a dedicated family man,” Greg Creed, president of Taco Bell, said in the statement.

How clever. Never knew the “Bell” in Taco Bell stood for his last name.

Pray Over Your Food: KFC’s Grilled Chicken Contains Cancer-Causing Substance

Better yet, ya might want to hold off on eating KFC’s grilled chicken ’cause laboratory tests show KFC’s grilled chicken contains a cancer-causing substance. In fact, this is so serious that a national physicians group is suing Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) under California law for failing to warn consumers that the chain’s new grilled chicken product contains a dangerous carcinogen.

Why did this cancer-causing carcinogen have to be in the “grilled” chicken? Why couldn’t it have been in the “fried” chicken? Just when you think you’re eating just a little healthier…

WASHINGTON—A national physicians group is suing Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) under California law for failing to warn consumers that the chain’s new grilled chicken product contains a dangerous carcinogen.

Independent laboratory tests show that KFC’s grilled chicken contains PhIP, a chemical that can increase a person’s risk of developing cancer even if consumed in small amounts. The lawsuit was filed Sept. 23 in the Superior Court of the State of California, County of San Francisco.

“Grilled chicken can increase the risk of cancer, and KFC consumers deserve to know that this supposedly healthy product is actually just as bad for them as high-fat fried chicken,” says Neal D. Barnard, M.D., the president of Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM). “KFC should post warnings because its aggressively marketed new product harbors a chemical that increases the risk of breast cancer, prostate cancer, and other forms of this lethal disease.”

A PCRM scientist visited six different KFC stores, obtained two samples from each location, and sent them to an independent testing laboratory. All 12 samples were found to contain PhIP, a chemical classified as a carcinogen by the federal government, the state of California, and the International Agency for Research on Cancer. PhIP, part of a chemical family known as heterocyclic amines (HCAs), has been linked to several forms of cancer, including breast cancer, in numerous scientific studies. No safe level of ingestion has been identified. Every sample also tested positive for at least one additional type of HCA.

KFC is clearly in violation of California’s public health law, known as Proposition 65. “In order to adequately comply with the requirements of Proposition 65, Defendant must conspicuously post specific warnings with respect to the carcinogenic dangers of the grilled chicken that it offers for sale,” says PCRM in its complaint. PCRM has already sued McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A, and five other national restaurant chains that sell grilled chicken containing PhIP.

Founded in 1985, the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine is a nonprofit health organization that promotes preventive medicine, conducts clinical research, and encourages higher standards for ethics and effectiveness in research.

I don’t eat a whole lot of sweets. Someone’s birthday? I usually pass up on the cake. Ah, but about six months ago I discovered the Tuxedo Chocolate Triple Mousse cake. This cake got to me. It’s light and makes you want more. So rich and creamy.

Terrible, I know. I shouldn’t be doin’ this to you. Tryin’ to lose a few pounds? I’m sorry. Rebuke me. But try it when you get a chance! You can always work it off. Um, I think.

Lol, only a geek like me would take (AND KEEP) a photo of something I ate 2 weeks ago. Not only like that, but only a geek like me would POST ON MY BLOG– something I ate 2 weeks ago! Too much time on my hands.

Those baby back ribs I ate in Dallas were simply delicious. The yams were amazing and I don’t ever remember grits looking like that!
