Currently Reading Black Directors in Hollywood. A really good and informative book.
Right now I feel great. I feel like I can accomplish anything. It’s just a matter of me focusing on it.
Today I had a conference call with the execs of the distributor who put out my first film “Lord Help Us.” Since the movie is still movin’ units pretty well, I contemplated doing a sequel. The distributor was open to it, however, after discussing with them further about some other projects, I decided to move [...]
Pretty much on the grind today and this week. The entertainment biz starts to slow around this time so I’m already thinking ahead about what I’d like to do for early next year. Acting, some more filmmaking and school.
Our “Lord Help Us” Movie was spotted today at a Target Store in Silver Spring, Maryland. Nice to know the movie is still in stores. It was on a shelf that read, “Best Sellers.”

Yesterday was so beautiful. A gorgeous day. Made me realize one of the reasons why I love California so much. Drove through West Hollywood and then on to Beverly Hills to drop some headshots and resumes off to my new agent. I’m giving myself a year to really take my acting [...]
Tressa Sanders, a documentary filmmaker and friend, has produced an excellent documentary on African-Americans with Albinism.
One of the big questions aspiring filmmakers ask themselves is whether or not they should go to film school. The “rebels” don’t believe in going to film school. To them, experience is the key. However, to some would-be movie makers, textbook knowledge and a classroom setting is ideal. Some people just [...]

Though I don’t necessarily plan to target all my films to the Christian market–Lord [...]
There are three books on filmmaking that really encouraged me to becoming a filmmaker. The first one is Rebel without a Crew: Or How a 23-Year-Old Filmmaker With $7,000 Became a Hollywood Player. When I read where Robert Rodriguez used a wheelchair for a dolly (camera shot), that did it for me; I [...]
Alright you aspiring filmmakers out there…just because I choose to make positive statements about the making of my first film does not mean it has been all fun and games. The fact is, the filmmaking process is very difficult. Actually, most people do not have any idea of the struggles a filmmaker has [...]

Here are a few photos of Ms. Moore when she came to the studio to sing a song for the soundtrack of my movie. It was really cool having her fly out to do a song for us. I am honored to have such a wonderful talent on board this project.
Just found out from my attorney today that the amended contract to my distribution deal is on it’s way. It should be any day now before I receive it. That’s weird, it seems like they respond better to my attorney than me. I guess that’s the nature of this business. People [...]
