Just finished reading Barbara Walters’ memoir, Audition, and thoroughly enjoyed it.
And I’m glad she had a “personal message” for Donald Trump (see video below), who clearly continues to disrespect president Barack Obama. I understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion about our president but this is obviously more than just an “opinion” with Trump.
I was a fan of Donald Trump years ago but no more. This election will continue to reveal the true colors and foolish prejudices of many toward our president and this is just ONE reason why I’ve got Barack Obama‘s back (again) in this election…win or lose.
Now. Do I agree with all of the policies of Barack Obama? No. But why should I vote for someone who has already established himself as someone who makes premature decisions and has already counted out 47% of the country? You can learn a lot about a person “behind closed doors” and I’m no fool.
And I’m definitely not moved just because one talks about their faith. Hogwash. Means nothing to me. Sheep can be so ignorant at times.
On a brighter note for Romney supporters: his camp has nothing to do with Donald’s latest antics. But in fact, in some ways, I think it hurts Romney’s campaign since Trump is a strong supporter of the GOP presidential candidate.
Anyway, check out what Ms. Walters had to say to The Donald in the video below. Quite humorous. Quite serious.
Barbara Walters had a personal message for her friend Donald Trump on Thursday: stop the birther antics.
Trump, who has made his birther views well-known, recently teased a “big announcement” that he said could change the course of the election. On Thursday, the real estate magnate offered Obama $5 million for the charity of his choice in exchange for releasing his college transcript. The world has been mocking Trump with renewed vigor ever since.
On Thursday, Walters was clearly dismayed by Trump’s antics. After some spirited discussion at the roundtable, she broke in with a personal message for Trump that she wanted to say “to his face.” Speaking directly to the camera, she said:
Donald, you and I have known each other for many years and you know that I am your friend and I think you are a brilliant businessman and you are great on television and you have a fascinating personality. Donald, you’re making a fool of yourself. You’re not hurting Obama, you’re hurting Donald and that hurts me because you’re a decent man. Stop it. Get off it, Donald.
Trump did not take too kindly to her words. On Thursday, he tweeted, “Barbara, unfortunately you’ve missed the entire point of my announcement–you just don’t get it!”
He continued, “will apologize to me just like she did when I was right about Rosie. Besides, I get great ratings on The View.”
