Jay-Z to Executive Produce NBA2K13

I’m excited about NBA 2K13 — won’t be out until October 2 but I just heard that Jay-Z is producing the project/video game.

Yeah, J is venturing into new waters with this latest business endeavor — the new gig was announced in a 24-second promotional video (see below) released earlier today.

The most recent addition to the video game franchise will feature NBA heavyweights such as Blake Griffin, Kevin Durant and Kevin Rose (as shown on the cover).

The game will be available for PC and Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii, PSP system users on October 2. It’s currently available for pre-order at the 2K Sports website.

Sounds like a fun project. Wonder what “producing” a video game entails — I’m in!
