Ann Curry to Co-Anchor ‘Today’ with Savannah Guthrie This Weekend

Excellent decision by the execs over at “Today” (in the wake of the Colorado shooting) to tap Ann Curry to co-anchor the show this weekend alongside Savannah Guthrie.

She’s got the perfect spirit to deliver updates on this devastating tragedy. It’s a somber time..another American tragedy.

According to NBC, Curry and Guthrie will be traveling to Aurora, Colorado to provide “special coverage” of the massacre.

Matt Lauer won’t be making the trip.

Curry’s final day hosting “Today” came on June 28, after weeks of speculation about her ousting. Guthrie was named her official replacement the next day and took her first official turn next to “Today” fixture Matt Lauer on July 9.
