Singer Brandy took to her Twitter account to announce her album’s release date.

Brandy’s 6th album Two Eleven is set for an August 28th release through RCA/Chameleon Records.

In case you’re wondering what the title represents — it’s the month and date of her birthday, February 11.

Ironically, the date is also the day her mentor and friend Whitney Houston passed away. Interesting.

Two Eleven features the Chris Brown-assisted single “Put It Down” and “It All Belongs to Me,” her duet with Monica, along with contributions from Bangladesh, Frank Ocean, Rico Love, Sean Garrett, Hit-Boy, and more.

“It’s just gonna be a different album, but of course expressing the love that I feel now and the struggles and different situations that I’ve gone through in the past,” the 33-year-old singer told Rap-Up TV. “My music always tends to be the soundtrack to my life and definitely inspired by what I see other people go through as well—gritty, edgy, different.”

A lot of people (including me) are excited about this. I have always been a great fan. It seems that artists these days don’t just do albums alone anymore. She has lots of people on there performing with her. I would prefer that they not be there, but then I know artists don’t always have a lot of say in the production of their albums. Anyhow, I’m looking forward to it and will give it a fair chance.
