Rodney King, the man many of us knew as the person who was at the center of the infamous Los Angeles riots — was found dead this morning in Rialito, California. He was 47.

What a shame.

According to sources, King’s fiancée is telling friends King had been drinking and smoked weed in the hours before his death. He was found at the bottom of a pool.

Law officers had to physically remove King from the pool to attempt CPR but to no avail.

He was pronounced dead at 6:11 AM this morning.

Rialto Police Department will open a drowning investigation, but so far there are no signs of foul play.
