Update #1 (9.23.11-1:00am) I can confirm Vesta has passed. No cause of death yet.

Update #2 (9.23.11-10:40am) Multiple bottles of prescription pills were found in the El Segundo, CA hotel room where R&B singer Vesta Williams died … law enforcement sources tell TMZ. Sources tell us the death is being treated as either an accident or suicide, but not a homicide. The coroner won’t know if drugs played a part in her death until the toxicology reports are in — and that could take 6 weeks. [TMZ]

Update #3 (9.27.11-7:34am) – Funeral Service Information

I’m getting early reports that R&B singer Vesta Williams was found dead in a hotel room in Los Angeles. You may remember Ms. Williams’ Top 10 R&B hits such as “Sweet Sweet Love”, “4 U”, and “Congratulations.”

She was 53. (Story Developing)
