Chris Rock and Adam Sandler are teaming up to produce a film chronicling the life of comedian Richard Pryor.
As you know, Pryor became famous for his stand-up act and his series of concert films as well as his successful movies. He starred in such hit movies as “Stir Crazy” and “Bustin’ Loose” but my personal favorite is “Which Way Is Up?“
Eddie Murphy was originally set to play Pryor (who died in 2005 at age 65 from cardiac arrest) but now Marlon Wayans is set to take on the role.
Rock and Sandler have said that the movie will not just focus on comedic elements of Pryor’s career, but the ups and downs of his personal life as well. Later in life, Pryor suffered from multiple sclerosis. A release date for the movie has not been set, keep ya posted.
