
Steve Carell, who stars as Michael Scott on the hit NBC show, The Office, has confirmed that he’s leaving the show following the 2010-2011 season.
“It’s the last on my contract, and I want to honor my contract.” The NBC hit is expected to continue in his absence.
The 47-year-old Golden Globe winner explained, “I am excited — just so I can spend more time with my family.”
He and his wife Nancy have two kids: Elisabeth Anne, 9, and John, 6.
