Lost in Space: The Opening Theme Song
I’m torn between two–TV show theme songs, that is, lol.
“Will!! Will Robinson!!!” Dr. Smith (brilliantly played by actor Jonathan Harris) used to get on my nerves with all that yellin’ and cryin’, lol, but you remember Lost in Space, right?
Or at least you’ve certainly watched a re-run or two? And who can forget the show’s opening theme? John Williams is a musical genius. You’ve definitely heard his work before, hehe.
Growing up watching the re-runs, I distinctively remember the show having two different opening themes. I love’em both. I love old TV show theme songs. True Americana!
Lost in Space is a science fiction television program created and produced by Irwin Allen, produced by 20th Century Fox Television, and broadcast on CBS. The show ran for three seasons, with 83 episodes airing between September 15, 1965 and March 6, 1968. The first season was shot with black and white film, the rest in color. In 1998, a film based on the series was released. The show focused primarily on Jonathan Harris as Dr. Zachary Smith, originally an utterly evil would-be killer who as the first season progressed became a sympathetic anti-hero, providing comic relief to the show (and causing most of the problems).
