The New ‘Lord Help Us’ Movie Soundtrack

Did you know that my film ‘Lord Help Us,’ an inspirational romantic comedy that I wrote, directed and edited actually has a soundtrack? Well it does, 14 tracks on the CD actually, from various artists but most notably, the “I’ll Be” title song by the fabulous Melba Moore featuring Kevin Wyatt.

I had the soundtrack up (for download) on this site called Snocap a while back but it wasn’t the best site.  I actually purchased the download there a few months back and wow, what they put me through just to download the soundtrack was crazy.  Very difficult payment process.  I was a bit skeptical of the site.

Another reason why I’ve made the soundtrack available is that the Internet data shows that people who purchased the film were actually looking for the soundtrack.

I have been so inspired by this film as of late that I’m now calling it “my little workhorse,” lol!  I’m so proud of this movie–it’s becoming ‘the little train that could.’

The  film is becoming more popular everyday and recently sold another 30,000 DVDs in 3 months and has sold over 100,000 DVDs so far.  And still growing.  This movie sellin’ DVDs on “the sly” lol.

So many people are still not even aware of this film.  It stars comedian Joe Clair and Nadia Turner–she was an American Idol top 8 finalist.  And Margaret “Shug” Avery from The Color Purple is in it along with newcomer Bill Toliver.  And a host of other actors who came to support me and the film.  Omar Gooding came out and did a cameo for me.  Tico Wells, my twin (lol) ‘Choir Boy’ from The Five Heartbeats, Johnny Brown (Bookman from Goodtimes is in it, lol), the incomparable Grammy Award-winning singer Al Jarreau–his first role in a film!

Let’s see, who else?—whole lot of folks, the hilarious Debra Wilson from Madtv, my homey Deezer D from ER and CB4, Sam Sarpong from Love Don’t Cost A Thing and MTV’s Yo Mama…

LOL, I can go on and on…Marion Ramsey from The Police Academy Series, Aloma Wright from Scrubs…lol, I feel like a salesman, lol…but hey, if I forget someone, my producers will get on me.

Anyway, the new CD soundtrack is currently on CDBABY, iTunes and Amazon for MP3 download.  It will be on other music sites such as Rhapsody, eMusicNapster, Verizon V-Cast, last.fm and many others.

Various Artists: Lord Help Us Movie Soundtrack

I’d appreciate it if you can support this album.

If anything, support the film on Amazon here or at least check out the “I’ll Be” song with Melba Moore–it’s off the chain, trust me.  Oh well, at least the soundtrack will up there for many years to come to all those who enjoyed the movie.

I also finally got a chance to read all the great comments about the movie from those who saw it on Netflix.  The film is still in stores like Target, Walmart and Best Buy.

Lastly, I just got word that there’s talk of some people wanting to turn the film into a play.  Hey, it’s all good, we’ll see.

I’m just about ready to make another film.  I think I will try to work on another independent film.  I thought about doin’ a short film but I did a couple of them already.  I’d like to see another film in the stores.

May God give me strength to get around to doin’ that one!  Thanks for your support.
