Haitian-American actress Garcelle Beauvais Calls Out for Support

I’ve had the opportunity to work with Haitian-American actress Garcelle Beauvais.  Great actress and all-around nice person.

I’m glad to see all the love and support Haiti is receiving.  Great.  Hopefully we can all do more, including myself.

Here’s a post from FreddyO.com

Watching the news, reading the papers, and just plain not knowing if your family is dead or alive back in Haiti has a lot of people worried. It has even questioned the faith of actress Garcelle Beauvais, also known as Fancy from the Jamie Foxx Show. Garcelle is a Haiti native, coming to the States with her parents at the young age of seven. She tells Larry King,

“You have to question faith, in a way, you do. I mean, you don’t understand, especially a place like Haiti. We’ve been hit so hard by lots – why would this happen? I don’t know. This is the country that deserves this the least – not that anybody deserves it. But we are resilient and we are proud. Even if we have nothing, we are very, very proud. It’s unfortunate. It’s devastating.”

Garcelle encourages any and everybody to give what they can. On a Kre-Note, and reason I wrote this story separate from the rest is because you never want to question Faith. God is always there when you need him. It is unfortunate that this happened, just as it was unfortunate when Katrina struck my city and of course you ask why, but God has and knows the bigger picture. Keep praying Garcelle, trust and believe!
