Sanaa Lathan Says Media is Biased Against African-American Celebrities
An interesting topic of discussion from actress Sanaa Lathan; a subject that is not talked about much.
Shortly before Christmas, Soul Culture, a UK based online magazine exploring the entity of soul in its many forms across the spread of black music, culture, entertainment, caught up with actress Sanaa Lathan at the Novello Theatre in London, where the current run of Tennessee Williams’ Cat On A Hot Tin Roof takes place until April 2010.
Adapted by Debbie Allen, the play features an esteemed all-black starring cast in which Sanaa plays Maggie ‘The Cat’ alongside James Earl Jones, Phylicia Rashad and Adrian Lester.
In this filmed excerpt from the interview, Privacy vs Celebrity, Sanaa shared her thoughts on the US tabloids’ attitude towards African-American celebrities, celebrity culture, having rumours printed about her and developing a thick skin.
Now that’s one thing I have yet to understand–how some tabloids and gossip blogs can blatantly make up foul and false stories about celebrities. Are not the facts enough?

Does she mean “Biased” vs “Bias” ???
Haha, to be biased or bias; that has always been the question.
Thanks D!
Sanaa is such a pretty young woman. She has the kind of face that will really get better with time. I hope she opts to leave plastic surgery alone as her older years are going to be good to her.
