Blair Underwood: “Hasn’t Anyone Ever Seen A Black Hiker Before?”
A funny short video starring actor Blair Underwood. The question is: “Hasn’t Anyone Ever Seen A Black Hiker Before?” Well have you? LOL.
Well, Blair’s a hiker, that’s one. And our president is a hiker too, right? C’mon, he’s gotta be. That’s two.
Oh yeah, and how could I forget Tiger Woods? Serious hiker. All them times where he has to walk up dem there hills to hit them golf balls?…brotha man’s a hiker. Three! So ha! Don’t even try it.
Check out the throwback video of Blair and I from the 1990′s TV movie Heatwave. Only acting, still luv ya white folks, hope it doesn’t scare ya too much, hehe.

I think Steve Harvey did a funny routine about why we don’t hike. Or, was it D.L. Hughley?
This is some funny @!#%! Why, because it is largely true. I got into backpacking about 5 years ago and the first thing I noticed is you never see black folks on the trails. Oh I’m sure there are some out there…somewhere. I get it though, many black people grow up in poverty and the idea of sleeping outdoors without electricity or running water doesn’t really appeal. Besides that, many white folks are bored with thier safe mundane lives and want some adventure and danger in the wilderness hiking or bungeee jumping or whatever. If you’re black and survive growing up in the hood, by the time you become an adult you’ve had enough danger to last you a lifetime – WORD!
