Aesthetic Blog Changes
It’s not uncommon for me to work on my blog for long periods of time. Last night was one of those “all-nighters” and I made yet some more changes to the site.
LOL, I won’t bore you about the details of me and my usual “trial and error” in dealing with the CSS code behind the blog, but let’s just say that I was tenacious and I won another battle. I’m always learning new stuff!
Anyway, here were some recent changes I made:
1. The background is black! Hopefully it gives the blog a more sleek look. The black background seemingly helps draw the eyes to focus more on the content. Later on, we’ll incorporate some advertising on the background. Note: If you’ve been to my blog before, you may need to refresh your page or even empty your cache in order for you to see the new look.
2. Fonts have changed and are bigger. The fonts throughout the blog has changed, more simpler. Everything is basically bigger. The words in the article posts should be a bit more legible.
3. Font colors have changes. The post title colors are more noticeable. It’s an interesting blue that took me at least 40 minutes to whip up the perfect color combination for me to be satisfied…and I still find myself not completely happy with the color. That’s normal, lol, that’s blogging’ for ya!
Well, I hope you like it. I’ll still be messing around with the look from time to time as the blog is always evolving.
I’m excited that the blog is growing in viewership. Right now I’m debating as to branching off and going a little more “mainstream” with my blog posts. I enjoy covering my African-American “peoples,” lol, but I’ve always had fan base and readership that has been more diverse when it comes to people’s ethnic backgrounds.
I do not wish to limit myself with this blog. I just figured, since my blog is so eclectic anyway…
Eventually, I’d like to get a crew together and start doing some on-camera interviews, spotlights, and entertainment and documentary segments. That would be fun.
