Respect for Michael Jordan: LeBron Says He Wants to Retire “23″
Out of respect for Michael Jordan, who sat courtside and watched LeBron James score 34 points last night at the Bulls game, James says he’s planning on switching his number after season’s end from number 23 to number 6.
“I just think what Michael Jordan has done for the game has to be recognized some way soon,” James said. “There would be no LeBron James, no Kobe Bryant, no Dwyane Wade if there wasn’t Michael Jordan first.
It’s great that these young boys are starting to respect their elders. Number 6? Hmmm….I think 7 would be nice for him, hehe.
